Frustrated new user... this could improve

I spent a couple of hours replying to a pose where someone asked for a security review of their hashing algorithm, which I am happy to do, but after all that work, WTF? Where is my post.

Is there a secretive moderation policy that only applies to new users, or was my post actually lost? My new thread also has not shown up. I did not read that my actions here don't take effect in the same day that I post. If that is the case, please make it clear when folks sign up.

Of course, this will be my third post, which I assume will also not show up... I hit the Submit New Thread button, which from my point of view simply doesn't work.

I just recreated my original post, with a lot less detail since I didn't trust this system, and once again it dissapeared. Why does posting here work, but posting replies in the cryptography section seems to discard my posts?
