Im with Ennis. Why spend your life figuring out whats right because your probably wrong, so **** it.
Do what you want and say what you said. Thats all I believe.
(Of course you might have to do divient actions to obtain this, for example: goto work to earn money)

I think we are here to figure it out. I don't believe anything is right or wrong. Our whole pupose is to decide it for ourselves, and hopefully it makes you happy. If not, oh well.It is what it is and all you can ever do is what you can do.

Being an atheist I cant see what purpose we have, who could give you a prurpose in llife. Yourself? Yet half us are eternally undecided.

All I ever here is bitching. I live in the DC area and I've talked to Congressional aides and that sort. They've said that they only opinion/message that they've ever gotten from the so-called "hacker" community is from all the kids griping about Napster and couldn't put two complete sentences together, let alone not use "****" ten times.
"Oh, I broke the rules, but those other people broke it more and now we're all screwed. Waaa..." I don't feel sorry for you. Of course they're going to try to apply the same standards to everyone for committing the same crime. It wouldn't be Justice otherwise.
Yes, the laws are going overboard. Yes, they don't make a distinction between stealing millions and defacing a site. The way to fight it is not bitching about the system, it's to take an active part. Stand up or shut up.
JP, are you looking for columnists? I'm interested in helping.

Hey now, if you don't want to hear bitching anymore then stop bitching yourself.
Stand up? I think thats what Im doing by posting what I think. How else would you like me to stand up? Ive written letters, I made a website, I post my opinion on every site.
Stand up? pah! DC can't even vote.
Most of "Fudging" Congressional aides and that sort, are "Fudging" old computer illiterates anyway. They make no distinction between basic computer morons using Napster and the "Fudging" experts programming webservers making them millions of dollars but in their free time enjoy testing the internet's "Fudging" limits.
Sorry only 4 times, I guess im not a hacker.

Pinky, you want to be a columnist? Aren't columnist supposed to write decent English? My English ain't perfect, but I'm not asking to become a columnist... I'm not talking about typos here: as a columnist you'll have people to correct them. I definitely would not like to be that guy... And I definitely would not like to be the guy who has to rephrase your mambo-jambo, but I'll give it a try. Only because I love it...
All I ever here is bitching.
Hear, that is, not here. I'm still with you though.
They've said that they only opinion/message that they've ever gotten from the so-called "hacker" community is from all the kids griping about Napster and couldn't put two complete sentences together, let alone not use "****" ten times.
I'll forgive you the 'they' typo. But what's this: 'THEY've said... that THEY..' You're not supposed to do that. One THEY is enough. Be creative, use another word.
And this: '...couldn't put two complete sentences together, let alone NOT use...?' I may be missing your point here, but this doesn't make any sense.
"Oh, I broke the rules, but those other people broke it more and now we're all screwed. Waaa..."
Guess this is not you speaking, but 'the rules' is plural and 'it' is singular.
Yes, the laws are going overboard. Yes, they don't make a distinction between stealing millions and defacing a site.
Hey look, there's THEY again...
The way to fight it is not bitching about the system, it's to take an active part. Stand up or shut up.
'The way to fight IT?' To fight WHAT??? The system? Doesn't make a point, because you say 'it's to take an active part'. That would be 'an active part in the system' then, and I suppose that's not what you meant...
JP, are you looking for columnists? I'm interested in helping.
Damn, I hate to bitch, but you shouldn't have put that line in your post... Actually, I don't hate to bitch, I love it...

Damn this is getting Deep
You guys were beginning to sound like confucious there for a second!! hehe The fact remains that Those ppl out there who use their skills for causing harm to the systems that they invade, are making it increasingly more dangerous for thise of us who strive only to seek knowledge. Hopefully even with the new laws that are bound to be passed, by a paranoid government will affect "Hackers", on a case by case basis. Just follow two simple rules.
1. Dont brag about your "conquests", whether it be in this forum or even during an IRC chat session, spy bots can be placed within so called "secret" irc channels.
2.Dont rip ppl off ie. credit information, destroy, or change any information within a system.
Old rules I know, but ones all pll with interest in gaining knowledge should follow.
