well it looks like software problem to me..
Is there anyway you can get another software to do a comparison?
And did PeachTree came with the printer? or Your friend just bought it as a new tool for his network?

Coz here's what i'd do.. If PeachTree still pisses me off i'd just either get a new software or use the software that came with my printer..
