Oppose the SSSCA
The SSSCA or "Security Systems Standards and Certification Act", which would force all new consumer electronics devices and personal computers to have government-mandated "policeware". don't think you like the idea of the CIA looking at your research? sign this petition!!!

Any person who disables this policeware would be subject to five years in federal prison and a $500,000 fine.
Wow.. To think that they could enforce that. I'm assuming they are talking about the omnivoure/ carnivoure program, right?
Don't trust the goverment?!, they obviously don't trust you.

I've always wondered if Internet petitions are even legally admissable? Does anyone know because I know that there are certain criteria that an on paper petition must fulfil if it can be accepted legally.

This has nothing to do with omnivore/carnivore etc. This is almost worse.... This is more about copyright. Along the same lines as the DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) yet more intrusive.
