Those messages you get are usually displayed if you try to exit Windows while still running programs. If Windows can't close any of those programs automatically, you'll get that BSOD...

Another possibility is that you try to close an unstable program. If Windows can't close it automatically, you'll get that BSOD...

Knowing that, I'd say your Internet Explorer is the cause of your problems... As suggested before, try updating it.

I used to have a similar problem. My computer would freeze or BSOD on me whenever I hit a graphic intensive page, or just certain pages in general. My computer later started getting worse, and I after replacing some components, bought a new video card. Problem solved. Try swapping video cards and see if that helps.

If that doesn't work, try a format and reinstall of the OS, then update windows and IE as much as possible. Nothing solves problems quite like a fresh install, I always say.

I don't see that you tried the Internet Explorer repair function. You can get to it through the control panel - Add/remove programs.

i seem to have some kind of problem like that, if i enter a site thet has audio or if i play mp3's while on line my box frezees. i tryed re-installing the audio drivers, and it doen't work.

gabriel_c.. It prolly has to do with the fact that most celeron based computers also use a 56k modem/sound card in one. I would try updating your drivers from the manufacturer. Update both the modem and sound drivers because they usually rely on each other.

Gabriel_c -- you could always try replacing your onboard audio with a new sound card. SBLive is pretty reasonable nowadays.

I reinstalled IE6. Hope that works. As soon as I can, I will try to find a new driver for the video card. If not I will purchase a better one.

I thought a rage 128 32meg. was pretty good.
