linix shell
i have recently got a linix rh 7.2 blazer itanium shell and was wondering if anyone could help me find a list of unix commands or anything that could help someone who is only used to windbloz thanx in advance for all of your help hopefully.

hi
once you have logged in, try the following...
cd /usr/sbin
ls | more
cd /usr/bin
ls | more
man <command>
<command> --help
there is a whole lot of commands to learn, also depends upon what you want to use the shell for. there are also tutorials on the net and maybe some as well on the redhat cds.

beware using a windows machine to log into a shell, it can be pretty buggy. Learn your basics with the shell, but as soon
as you get a chance or some money, get a cheap box and install a distro of linux on it, preferably SuSE if you want good
security and a stable platform
