    well i guess it's too bad she didn't fall for it .. umm.. i mean you..
    but at least now you can go back to being a "heartless bastard "

    NetSyn--> IMHO, you did the right thing. I respect you as a brave, caring man now... I think. Anyway, my biggest advice at this point is to keep up the friendship. There is still love involved in friendship, and that's better than none. Also, friends tend to be much more honest with each other than people involved in a romantic relationship. That honesty leads to a much more meaningful relationship. I figured all this out too late, and I've regretted it since. Don't make my mistake and give up on a relationship just because it didn't go as far as you wanted it to.
