Windows ME became so messed up it would restart/freeze/shutdown at leats a good 4 times a day, and when i was actually doing something important, like 8 times just to make me mad...
Windows in general is just fun, now i run w2k, and soo to get the wonderful linux, so my 2 cent is on Windows ME, fa sho.
And, i know the problems did have something to do with me, just not caring after the first time it messed up. I agree with

Windows 95 hands down the worst OS ever...It makes me appreciate XP Home so much more.

Yeah, XP home is awesome. Maybe some people have problems with it, but not me. As for worst OS ever, i'd have to say Mac 9, it regularly crashed, and screwed up and ruined all my files. Don't know why it did that, but it did, and on a regular basis, so I gave up and got a PC, because I couldn't wait too long, I need a computer all the time, and I didn't know when 10 was coming out. So I now use XP home, and haven't had any big problems with it. Running like a dream come true.

OMG! Guess what just happened to my win95, it gave me about 4 blue screens, and then told me my explorer.exe was corrupted and to reinstall windows. Insane! You guys, this thread, jinxed me. Though I think it is fine, I am using it right now, it only screws up if I start using a web application, which I don't think I will for a loooong time.

I don't really have a worse OS ever, I never really had many problems with windows 95, I used to for 5 years with only 2 reformats. If I had to pick a worse one It would be windows ME I suppose because it sucks Up loads and loads of Memory and makes you restart often.
I have used linux in the past and enjoyed it, The only bad thing I would say is that it is to hard for first time users to use, but after learning how to use it, its great.
If I had to pick a favoutive I would say windows xp pro, Some people have had problems with it, but on my laptop and work pc's its great, Although when it crashes it does it in strange new ways.

for me that would have to be the original windoze 98, ran it on my older box which now has 98 SE and redhat 7.2 on it, usually would get a minimum of 3 or 4 BSOD's a day and several of those little white ignore / close boxes too
second one (only just though) would have to be XP, but only because of all the trouble with drivers and software not working properly and its imcompatibility, apart from that setback i'd almost say M$ did a good job

All windows versions suck IMO. XP just sucks less ;-)
Nowadays I only use winXP to play games. I use Freebsd for everything else
