    carbonlifeform.... I wasn't there personally but I had a few friends who were in downtown Portland that day, none of them were involved in the riots themselves but did see some of what went on and the damage that had been caused when it was all over. From what they tell me, there have been much worse riots (even just in Portland) in the past few years.

    Ugh. Can anyone else see a pattern emerging? Our "leaders" treat the constitution as if it were a mistake, a mere embarrassment to get around. A recent poll shows that, basicly, 49% of Americans don't really like the 1st amendment, and more then half think the media should be legally restrained in its criticism of the war. This is becoming like Orwell and Huxley rolled into one people. Enjoy your soma....
