I can name some, but I don't use them anymore, they really annoyed me. So I put my own server up, here's my suggestions:
http://www.coolfreepages.com
http://www.spaceports.com
http://www.freewebz.com
Or you could do what I did and install you own server, if you have Cable DSL or a fast, always on, line.
http://www.apache.org
http://www.php.net
Either http://www.mysql.com or .org... I think...
Good luck, and PM me when you get your site up.

There are two free hosts that offer 50 MB of hosting space:
multimania.lycos.fr
lycos.co.uk

Hi lordbone2001...
I've had pretty good results with eryxma.com (http://www.eryxma.com/sharedserver.shtml)... They have their "Baby VE" plan for around $36 a year, and it is a virtual server, with PHP/MySQL preinstalled... You can install pretty much anything you want on it though... They currently have a 6 hour free trial, but I think they may be bailing on that soon as they've had some problems w/ people setting up free trials and using the accounts for ill purposes...
Good luck and let me know if you have any ?'s re: them...

By the way, if you end up using either of lycos' free web hosting plans, there's some coding you'll have to change to curb the header already sent problem.
You can find the fix here:

I used Multimania.fr for some time when I first started with PHPbb...their support is excellent, however, it's not very fast, but for free, you can't get much better.
