Yeah, sadly that could happen and I am fearful that many of today's troubled youth would resort to that. If there is one thing I don't like, it's suicide. No one's life is THAT bad or can NOT be fixed to the point that they will take their own life. It is very sad if you ask me, and when you hear about Teen suicides, it makes me cry literally.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand, your right. Their could be another person wanting to do what the sniper did, or the real Sniper could have more friends or more accomplises where they will shoot someone, and the Fed's might think they have the wrong guy. I just don't think they got them all, but that's me.

I believe that he wasn't in the special forces, but he did have combat training, although never as a sniper. It's kind of weird the way things turn out sometimes.
Sniper didn't have sniper training
That Middle Eastern man was from Jamaica
Instead of the FBI, a trucker found him
After killing an FBI agent, the sniper went for his next big target: a bus driver
... hmm... its all true you know...

This all makes me recall the words of Sgt. Hartman in Full Metal Jacket.
The platoon sits on bleachers facing HARTMAN.
HARTMAN
Do any of you people know who Charles Whitman was?
No response.
HARTMAN
None of you dumbasses knows?
COWBOY raises his hand.
HARTMAN
Private Cowboy?
COWBOY
Sir, he was that guy who shot all those people
from that tower in Austin, Texas, sir!
HARTMAN
That's affirmative. Charles Whitman killed
twenty people from a twenty-eight-storey
observation tower at the University of Texas
from distances up to four hundred yards.
HARTMAN looks around.
HARTMAN
Anybody know who Lee Harvey Oswald was?
Almost everybody raises his hand.
HARTMAN
Private Snowball?
SNOWBALL
Sir, he shot Kennedy, sir!
HARTMAN
That's right, and do you know how
far away he was?
SNOWBALL
Sir, it was pretty far!
From that book suppository building, sir!
The recruits laugh at "suppository. "
HARTMAN
All right, knock it off! Two
hundred and fifty feet! He was two hundred and fifty feet away
and shooting at a moving target.
Oswald got off three rounds with an
old Italian bolt action
rifle in only six seconds and scored two hits,
including a head shot! Do any of you people
know where these individuals learned to shoot?
JOKER raises his hand.
HARTMAN
Private Joker?
JOKER
Sir, in the Marines, sir!
HARTMAN
In the Marines! Outstanding! Those
individuals showed what one motivated
marine and his rifle can do! And before you
ladies leave my island, you will be able to
do the same thing!

Military officials say Muhammad qualified as "expert" with M- 16 during Army service
All that means is that he was able to hit at least 36 out of 40 targets... Which is not to bad... It is harder then it sounds...
I believe that he wasn't in the special forces, but he did have combat training, although never as a sniper.
From what the public realations NCO at CASCOM HQ here in VA ( He's a friend of mine ) said that the guy was an enginer in the National guard during the gulf war and was put out in 94... He had a couple of Article 15's (kind of like a ticket in the real world) and a court martial for striking an NCO... He did get a general Discharge under Honorable conditions... (That is pretty sad)...
I feel bad that it was a former member of the military... Myself and others were pretty sure it wasn't anyone who had served...
At one point these two got within a few miles of where my family and I live so it was a bit tense around this area for a day or two... Hell they apparently stayed at a motel thay is only about 10 or so blocks from the house...
they just confirmed on the local news that the weapon they found in the car these two were in is the same weapon that was used in 10 of teh 13 shootings... They can't link it to 3 of them because the bullets were too mangled up...
Glad they caught them now if they can convict them and exicute them in less then 30 years I'll be a happy camper...

Im just glad that they caught him and that everything is fine. It takes really sick people to do what they did. Im hoping they will be brought to justice and that people wont be scared anymore to go outside

well, they lived about 60 miles from me in january, although im glad it didnt happen here in the seattle area, its too bad that it happened at all.
they thought they could get 10million$, now they are getting life/death in prison, they will be some guy(s) girlfriends for the rest of their lives, once anybody that thought they were cool to do that realize what punishment they are getting, it will make them think about it a little more, and sure, they will think that they are smarter but, you're not gonna be able to leave this country after you've killed 10 people and they have any idea what you look like, especially after you've demanded 10million$ to stop shooting people, the government doesnt like demands, and they don't do ransom payments.
you got 3 options if you do something that stupid, you escape without any money, you get caught, or you get shot. it still baffles me why they thought it would work, but as is evident, it didnt.
i give my deepest sympathies to those who lost loved ones to these maniacs, they should rot in prison until they are on their deathbeds anyway, then get a slow death.
I did not come here to tell you how it is going to end, I came here to tell you how it was going to begin. I\'m going to hang up this phone, then I\'m going to tell these people what you don\'t want them to hear.

As does me, I give my prayers out to the people who lost family members or friends to these two sick individual's. I heard that the dad would get a jail sentence w/o bail, but how long is the sentence? I didn't hear that part, all I know is that he is going to jail for a long time.

well if you ask me its prety irrelivant as to if they are the snipers or not. if the killings stop then great, but it dosnt mean that there the killers, could just mean that the real killers are taking the opurtunity to fade away and not get caught. on the other hand if the sniping continues this dosnt mean that there not the killers....... they could well be a 4 man team, with the so called driver and walker doing the killings this time, just to get there buddies out of the fryingpan.
also from what i hear over here (from the BBC mostly) he was an 'expert marksman' theres a difference, (drawing from military experiance) for expert you need to hit 36 targets from varrying ranges from 50-300 meters, using only 40 rounds. but to qualify as a marksman (sometimes called 'expert marksman') you only need to hit a measly 23 with 40 rounds....... and if you ask me it would take effort NOT to do that.
and my last point to make is that all of these shots were from a relitivly close range (100-150 meters from what im told) and nobody with any training with range sniping tactics will know that only an idiot would take a shot that close unless it was in defence.
there those are my points made, ill be off!
