    Is it possable to chat over an ftp ???

    Yes. Leave a nice little message in a text, HTML or other file and let the admin read it.

    Then he/she sends you a message back. See, that works.

    Yes actually you can... with site commands...
    · SITE CHAT <user> <message> sends a message to another connected user
    · SITE PSWD allows user to change his password
    · SITE WHO returns who is connected: User Name - Connection Date - IP/HostName - Transfer KBps
    · SITE ZONE displays server's time zone relative to UTC

    Those are command you should type in yer ftp client commands box or at the ftp> prompt of course
