    Thumbs up In Conclusion ...

    I have waited for quite a while so I could absorb the views of our few members who responded to this. This thread was not intended for just seniors, (a few people have thought so from what I gather ) nor was it intended for the old d00dz, ( I concider myself in that catagory ) but, was for anyone who wished to respond. From what I see, the general opinions of the contributors of this thread, and the poll, the Seniors are much more patient and forgiving of the nonsensical posts and non-security related threads than some members think---> majority rules.

    As for my reasoning to this thread (mostly nonsensical and non-security related ) I believe this thread is where I graduated from just a member with a bunch of Antipoints to a REAL Senior member...(give your opinions in this thread if you have any )

    I stumbled on the thread where I referenced the anal crack (brits will love this pun - LOL) and almost negged the offender and went on. I composed myself and even logged off for a while to ponder my exhistance. I stepped outside and had a seat on my porch and took a few breaths of some fine Ozarks Mountain air. I later logged back in and noticed that the thread that is in question was still on the main page and that its overall view was extremely positive ( I really expected it to have gone suicidal ) So... I opened it back up and to my further astonishment the offending user had a positive rating as well. So I started this thread as a research project you might see it as, because I really did not like the anal crack () But as -DaRK-RaiDeR- had mentioned I really did not concider myself a Senior yet...I do now.

    PS -- I never did neg the little @%&*$

    I think the general consensus is that seniors are not anal.
    Before I was a senior, I had plenty of help from both seniors and newbies alike.

    This "rant" is purly in my opinion... if you don't like it... you know what you can do.

    <rant>
    I try to help out when I can and I'm only "anal" when people keep asking the same ?s that can be found simply by using the AO search feature, not to mention a good search eng. like google.

    If it is a newbie, I'll try to get them on the right path with a PM and some friendly advise.
    You know... read the FAQ, watch what you post, don't start any flame wars, etc.

    Another thing I'm "anal" about is the friggin AP system. Who cares if you got positives or negatives. EVERYONE gets them both. It doesn't matter who you are. You should only care about your AP status if you are being close to banned. You are here to learn and help others, not reach a certain status. How can you learn anything if you are always bitching about APs, and after that, the only thing that you have learned... is people hate it when you bitch about APs.
    </rant>

    So now you know that I feel just like the other 85% of the people on this board/community.

    Either play nice, or get lost.
    Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

    Talking enema

    I think that enema idea sounds kinda cool, just think about how much all the senior members avatars and moods would change....

    On a more serious note, it seems that whenever I have asked senior members directly for help they have always been more than eager to either give me the answer or give me the needed guidance to find the answer. As far as them being superior? well i wouldnt say superior but they do deserve just respect and i think all the member of AO equally give great answers and help all of us out when in need. now what was I blabbing about...oh yeah do the enima thing then we can watch the boards light up with negs cause everyone will be really cranky

    Thanks for everyones help senior and not, none of us know everything and thats what the point of this is, to share our wealth of knowledge.

    Edit: New idea, the enema should be initiation to become a senior member

    Unlike aeallison, I probably will never consider myself a Senior Member. It say's that under my name, but my amount's of contribution's to this website pale's in comparison to some of the REAL senior members who have been here for awhile and have contributed loads to this website. However, I can promise you this: I will continue to try to post to help and learn, nothing more or less. I will continue to help people that are desperately in need of it. I will try to help people from being banned, or newbies who make mistakes when they first get here. I will always try to further the spread of information and activity at AntiOnline. Those are only some of my goals, and I will achieve them.

    You can be a "senior" member, like in being a contributive helpfull etc. member before you reached the 400 posts. The senior member "title" under your name just points out you're a post whore or you're just being arround here much. That way you can be a senior title member without really being a "senior" to the site and vice versa.
    Personally I'm fine they way I am now. An addict. I was addicted to AO, but that's past tence now. I feel absolutely no need to even become a senior member. Maybe I'm worth the "senior" title (maybe not, you choose ), but I just don't reach the 400 post border. I don't feel any drift to post something here, altough I might have a few months ago. I reply to posts if I have really something special to say that others didn't say already and what other might not know. That way I will reach that 400, maybe in 2004. I will be a senior member, but maybe I'm past the period being "senior" as a contributing, wise, experienced AO member. Many new people come (and go) and those who saty will eventually all be seniors... eventually. That's about my view.
    You're a "senior" in a way people look up or down to you. The titles mean nothing. That way people can't judge you're "senior" or not for everyone decides for himself wether to respect you or not. What can be the requirements to become a senior.

    I have to say you don't get to be a senior for nothing here.You guys deserve that status and anyone who tell's you different can go and get stuffed.On this site you either do it right or get out, or get kicked out.If it wasn't for our seniors who guided us where would we be??????????

    In that case, I'm a newbie to this site, because no one look's up to me Your more deserving of the title and respect them I am, lol.

    I'm by no means a "senior" in any deserving sense of the word....just an "old d00d" with a big mouth. And I do get anal...everytime I see "how do I hack ___" (insert email service name) or "how do I do ____" (insert basic computer function here) ....everytime some snot-nosed kid comes in with it's little "fux0r u, 1'm 133t" attitude....I GET ANAL. And anyone here who says they don't in similar circumstances is most likely a liar.

    So yeah, I'm an anal senior.....get over it.

    btw.....I am NoT aeallison...that would give us 3 personalities and we're perfectly happy with the two we have.

    It isn't paranoia when you KNOW they're out to get you...
