I'm in the process of trying to quit smoking. And I have to agree that smoking cannot be classed in with other drugs (though the addiction part of it is known to be worse). I live in Nova Scotia and first decided to quit when cigs went to around 8 dollars a pack (last spring). It didn't work, I started again after 2 months. Now that cigs are 9.45 a package! I am trying again. The addiction is hell and the and it is horrible to know that it rules my life.
Maybe I am just weak willed.

Puffie and Oldman: Yeah.... I've tried this before..... with little to no success so I am not trying to drop from 1 1/2 packs a day to nothing right now. I wear the 7mg patch and am keeping my intake of smokes to about 1/2 a pack a day..... I will not smoke at work and I will only have 2 smokes at home - 1 in the evening and one at night after dinner. I'm doing pretty well and have settled into a schedule. The hard part is keeping real busy. If I'm busy I don't even think about a smoke but if the workflow tails off a bit then the mind wanders.....<s> My plan is that when I am utterly happy with the 7mg and my rate of smoking I will go up to the 14mg and try to stop dead..... I think I have a week or two before that occurs though...

too bad there were no hackers in that chat. anyone who knows anything could at least do a whois and gotten his username/ISP and contacted them, told them it was an emergency and to call 911 with that user's address. How much news do you think THAT would've made? "Hackers" only make news when some ******* destroys something and gets his dumbass caught. I seriously doubt the newsmedia would give a **** if one saved someone's life.
