I didn't take it as a personal attack, Korp. It didn't piss me off, not at all. And I figured my Ali Comicali-comment would show I didn't take it serious (there's a poll online somewhere where you can vote for Mohammed Al-Sahaf to become a BBC-commentator... can't find it anymore though :/... I'd love to see that guy give make live comments on the next war).

Tiger Shark > Sun "When two tigers fight...one is killed and one is wounded" Tszu is something I had to read over and over again at university.
The Commander stands for the virtues of wisdom, sincerely, benevolence, courage and strictness.
I hope Bush doesn't see himself as "The Commander", because then the US's Art Of War is failing already... and The Commander is just one of five Art of War basics... The first one is Moral Law... I wonder who in American government represents that one...
The general who knows the five basics (Moral Law, Heaven, Earth, The Commander, Method and Discipline) will be victorious. He who doesn't, will fail.
Sun Tzu's Art of War is about the war itself. I'll leave those five basics to the American Generals. I'm sure Sun Tzu would turn around in his grave though...
And your signature, Tiger Shark, is umm... no comment...heh.

Vescovono > If I'd hate Americans, I wouldn't be here. And no, I don't 'hate' American government either. I have my strong opinions on your government, as I have my strong opinions on my own government. If people would stop having opinions on their government, we wouldn't be living in democracies.
And besides... if I wouldn't be 'pissed off at the US', you guys wouldn't have anything to talk about here in Cosmos. Just agreeing with one another gets boring in the end
I always try to document what I write, since it's easy to 'just state an opinion'. If someone else provides me with other documentation stating the opposite of my documentation, I learn something.
So yes, I have my strong opinions (I am opposed to this war the way it's being fought, the way it's being run), and nothing could change my opinion, as I don't dream of changing any of you guys' opinion. I just hope some of you took the time to see WHY I am opposed to this war, what I base my opposal on. And if some of you provide me with facts and data and documentation backing up YOUR opinion, I'll welcome it with open arms....

And the Interbrew-thing was just an example
For once, I'm with Korp though.

Neg: I could tell you were actually educated........

Re: My Signature. Remember, I am an ex-patriot Brit living here in the USA for the last 14 years. I get to see the American failings first hand and, to be quite frank, geography is one of their weak points. To many here the earth is flat and ends at the left and right coasts, (they only use north, south, east and west when dividing up sports conferences..... bait cast into water..... jigging it..... see what we come up with....... <WEG>.....)

On the other hand, I see so much of the basic good over here too. I am not naive by any means and I can assure you that it is difficult to justify calling any of the American leadership as having specific evil intent, (though I will admit that Bill Clinton came about as close as any man could, but that's another whole story). As to your basic Americans, they are genuinely good people with a fierce sense of freedom and a desire to help others. Yeah, they have their bad eggs - show me a country that doesn't. The problem there tends to be that the media, (foreign and domestic), gleefully points out the murder rates etc. but is quite reticent when it comes to pointing out the good - but then they are pandering to human nature to make money and a story that invokes outrage or disgust _always_ sells more papers than the "warm and fuzzy" stories.

I have to admit to getting pi$$ed off at the constant attacks on America by people who are believing their own country's media and "running with a crowd" that are clearly as ignorant as they are, (you can count yourself out of that group Neg....... ). Little dip$hitz like Ajit, (or is that Ijut), this morning spewing the anti-American rhetoric of the ignorant abound nowadays and frankly the ignorance seems to stem from jealousy, because these same people would jump at the chance of getting out of their third world $hitholes and coming here to the USA to make a buck or seven. They'd come here, bitch moan and complain - but they'd still take everything they can from the country and the generosity and tolerance of it's people.

I'm not saying America is a perfect place. But I will state quite clearly that it is certainly no worse than any other country in the world and it _always_ does what it can to help with little or nothing expected in return. It does not deserve the continual panning you people in Europe give it and it certainly does not deserve the ignorant, fanatical ranting it gets from most of the third world. It's ok if you don't like Americans - you'll find many Americans don't like the French for example, but you don't normally see us criticizing them and attacking them in our media all the time - same goes for a lot of other countries - Americans just don't seem to do that - of course france is past the right coast so it may not even exist....<s>

Suffice it to say. I am a British citizen and will remain so until I die....... But I will defend the Americans as a whole just like they would defend me.

    <slinking back to corner for a rest........>
Don\'t SYN us.... We\'ll SYN you.....

Tiger shark I think part of the problem is that a lot of the Media is made up of the "bad"guys...People who don't care about anything besides making a buck...They have decided that sansational headlines will amke them the most money so thats what they run.
