Firewall and Shared Folders..........

My file transfer speed is horrible from one PC to another over my Network. I run Sygate Personal Firewall on each box and I usually transfer files to shared folders on box 2. When I disable the 2 firewalls, transfer speed is great so obviously, the filtering is slowing the transfers.......... Does anyone know of an Advanced Firewall Rule I can add to avoid having to bring down both firewalls for large transfers? Help is appreciated, TIA.

Could you put both PC's or your network even into a "trusted zone", even if only temporarily whilst you transfer your files?

That way your FW will just let them crack on with what they are doing and should'nt hinder them with what they are doing.

I got it.......the "allow" rule I had on the second box got reset some how and it was filtering. I put it back and it flies now.......Derrrrrrrrrr Thanx anyway Nokia.
