Windows ME on c:\ and redhat9 on partition(2) - HELP?
For some f'd up reason, boot.ini is not being read by winme when I'm booting up. I edited it so that it contains the reference to the linux install, but winme just ignores it, and boots to windows.
Here's my boot.ini:
[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)="Microsoft Windows ME"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)="Linux RedHat"
Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks,

Are you sure you are talking about winMe? I didn't think
there was a boot ini in WinMe. It boots like win98,
and works easily with LILO the linux boot loader.
Are you talking about win2000?
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

as rcgreen said there's no boot.ini in winme.
boot.ini only exists in win2000 and nt4.

You ought to just get a boot loader like Grub or LILO.
Most distro's of linux auto install these.
Red Hat gives you a choice I think.
