Start Menu Skin
Start Menu skin,
Anyone know if there is one? I am looking for a skin or something that changes the look of the start menu/toolbar. I use Windows XP and im tired of this normal blue of green crap. I have changed windows so that the actual start menu is in classic form but I am looking for something else. Anybody know ofsomething like this. I did a search on google and found some wierd stuff, but not what I was looking for.

It just hit me, the kinda thing I am looking for is like a windows theme, but I dont want everything to change. Just the windows start menu and toolbar.

Did another little search and I found this. This is the kinda thing I am looking for. I downloaded it, but I cant figure out how to use it. If anyone has an idea to help or something else like it, that would be great.

Also Gives u a "how to install and use guide"
Just download the software TGT Soft's Style XP. and away u go
Software aint free but you can download that patch instead which does the same thing without install the software.

In case you guys were wondering,
I found a appication called Aston. It is a windows shell. I am not sure what a shell is, but from what I can gather by downloading this is that it is like a big skin applyer. When I think Linux shell I guess I never really thought about that being the desktop theme. If there are any other definitions for shell, or another way they are used besides themes, or if I was totaly wrong, please post and inform.

I have use Aston before and it's pretty cool but it leads to certain errors at times. You might want to get the full version to avoid that.
Another great program is windows blinds found here I think that might just be what you need. Let me know if that works for you.

Yeah. Aston is one of the best i have used .But i used to expire version but still it was very cool indeed. I dont use visual theme anymore though. They slow down the computer , and also the computer looks good to me in any way

and if you want a completely new look to the start bar... try smartbarXP - it's still in beta form but it works fairly well... hasn't crashed on me yet put it that way
