The thing that pisses me off about this site is that 10% of the members go out of their way to try and add value to the AO community. This is met with jerk offs who, instead of writing a better tutorial, just tear up the efforts of those who at least put forth the effort. Then you see people rewarding this stupidity with positive APs. I guess my preface wasn't clear.

    *sigh*

Well folks, you tell me. Continue with the tuts or not? It's your choice. I don't have to write a damn thing about NMAP. I already know how to use it.

I find your tutorial informative and hope you continue with it....
I read your preface and thought it was clear you would be borrowing "verbage".
Maybe hes just having a bad day

Don't let some **** head smash your tutorial writing for nmap....I thought it was very informative to say the least.. Like i said before, the way that you do the scenarios in each tutorial is great i.e When you did the hitting the firewall scenario.. Keep writing them and disregard the people who don't appreciate it..Because no matter how great you did there always has to be someone to come around and try to knock you off track.. Yea im rambling, in other words more tutorials please

    Thehorse13 , Keep em coming...

so basicly your "tutorial" is a copy and paste from the man pages with a scan in the middle, wow informative
Rioter, chill man, not everyone is familiar with "man" or "--help" ( i know, they should ), but i find this a good effort to give those "n00bs" a push in the good direction.
man - pages and stuff are good, a man with some extra info and examples is even better.

    www.google.com <-- a geeks best friend

Google is a seardh robot with lots of info and links and so on and on...
You should always try to search via google what you need.

Give it a shot , surf to www.google.com and insert nmap in the search window.
