Bypass select web restrictions

Anyone have a list of or know of a few of the websites that allow web users who are using computers with restrictions on web browsing to allow them to bypass the restrictions???Please post or send email...thanks

There are reasons for web restrictions...
If you are on a LAN, your net admins have reasons for imposing these policies to the users.
Going around these restrictions probably violates the terms of your using the LAN and can subject you to all kinds of trouble. I suggest, that you consult your net admin if you need to get to a certain site. Messing with LAN policy really pisses net admins off, and especially when you catch people trying to go around policies that are there for a reason.

I suggest that you read the New Member FAQ, which is made VERY obvious to new members. There are many good answers here, yet the question should be in line with the site guidelines.

You will probably be negged to death for your initial post......... do not give up, read around a bit and you will find good ppl. here.

I am the LAN admin in an internet cafe...i need to be able to block those sites. I do not need them for personal gain.

Hi, I see your point, and your "error"...............you did not say why you wanted the information, so people have probably assumed that you are like a lot of immature people who visit the site asking for ways around their school/college/work network restrictions.

I may be being stupid here, but if I went to your cafe, and logged onto an anonymous proxy service, wouldn't that do what you are talking about?

I think that you may be on "mission impossible" here, as I do not see how such a list could be kept up to date...............they come and go like mushrooms? and there are literally thousands of them?

Whenever I want to use a proxy I go to www.publicproxyservers.com
I guess that would be a start if you block that one.

I have not looked at this for a while, but when I did, I did a search for "anonymous proxies", "free proxies", "web proxy servers" and so on. There are (or used to be) sites that listed between dozens and hundreds each (OK with duplicates of course )

I think that the real problem is that this is a moving target, and the information rapidly gets out of date?

Perhaps if you gave a better idea of operating systems browsers etc. and explained exactly what kind of activity/sites you were trying to block, someone might come up with a clever way of doing it.

Even if you block 80 or 90% of the sites, someone with a little patience will find one in Guatemala or wherever, that you have never even heard of, and you are compromised.

As I said, I can see what you are trying to do, but I doubt if it is practical? Your requirement is too specialised

1. No-one will do it commercially, because there are not enough fee paying customers?
2. No-one will do it for free, because it is not a threat to the internet community as a whole?

If you explain your worst fears, we might be able to come up with an alternative?
