xbox live and router
I am trying to get my xbox live to run though my router, and i think i need to open the port on the router and forward it, but i cant find what the port is, so if anyone knows the port # xbox live runs on, it would help me alot.

I know nothing about x-box live, but what kind of router do you have?
Most routes support upnp which is Universal Plug n Play. You should be able to just plug it in and go. Can your router assign IP's? And if it can, do you have DCHP enabled?

it is just a standard linksys, dhcp is enabled and the config on the xbox has no problem pulling an ip, after i get the ip i get just a general "contact network administrator" error, very common with MS, i think their open motto should be, let someone else fix our mistakes
