2K3 Opensource???
Folks, I've never used Win2K3, but I heard some guys saying that it is Open source to tackle Linux growth...
Myth or reality?

I use Windows 2003, and it is not open source. :-(
* slaps Microsoft *
It is however, a very nice Operating System, very stable, and easty to use. As well, IIS 6 is a complete re-write, hopefully making it more secure. :-D
Merry Christmas!

I'd say myth. MS is never ever going to release W2K3 as open source. They are however giving (actually you need to pay for it) pieces of the source to some of their biggest customers. All under a hefty non-disclosure agreement offcorse

Let's face it, Microsoft will never make any OS open Source.

They should release Windows NT. All versions. I think that would really help out. People could find all the damned holes in it and fix them without breaking something else. Besides, NT can be secured heavily and be an actually good OS.

I agree with zigzag MS is never going to go the route of open source, unless it starts making them sink then they'll think about it but until that day they are still the kings of the industry. Even though Linux is probably going to make them bow down eventually!!!
