Yeah, I respect them too, even though they have chosen that way of life for themselves. Hell, when you think about it, that's the way our ancestors were living not too terribly long ago.

I think Fred has also played a few Presidents in his acting career too, but you're right, he does look like a President. I imagine he would have some kind of appeal to the left, being an actor and all. It also looks like he has a fairly good track record as a senator.

From what I just read, he dropped out of politics because of the death of his daughter in 2002.

My reasoning is that he's conservative and pro gun, which is one of the things I look at in a candidate. Not the only thing, certainly, and I will vote for an anti gun candidate if other positions are to my liking. I can always hide my guns, or simply not register or give them up. None are on any paperwork anywhere.

I don't know how much he would appeal to the left since his track record is conservative and more to the right. Being an actor, though, probably wouldn't hurt. He might get the 4 or 5 conservative actors in Hollywood to support him. I wouldn't look for the Barbra Streisand crowd to be in his camp.

Yeah, as long as they are conservative, pro-gun, not against religion, support Israel, pro-life, and are willing to fight terrorism and be tough on crime then I will vote for them. Sounds like he fits that mold.

Yeah, I definately won't be holding my breath waiting for the Streisand crowd (if that day should arrive).
