    stupid browser problem

    hello i have this little anoying problem. everytime i turn on the browser it's "detecting proxy settings" for like 45 seconds. i tried "ipconfig /release | ipconfig /renew" and rebooting the machine. but it still keeps doing that every time.

    I take it you are using IE. Got to tools - 'internet options' - 'connections tab' - 'LAN settings' - uncheck the 'automatically detect settings' box.
