Is there anything like I can remove virus manually, without AV?
If you know what virus it is you can google it or go to Symantec. They list manual removal steps. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/
You're sure you have a virus?

We had AVG on 2000 server, we eventually upgraded and decided to pay for AV. Like what was said before, you drop a couple hundred bucks for server, whats a little bit more. SInce getting rid of AVG we have been able to do a lot more, like policy management of network wide AV that we couldn't do with AVG. For home use its alright, but in corporate, you get what you pay for.

Didn't knew that AVG can be installed on server machine. I though it was only for the client machine like all other AV. Thanks for the info anyway. I will give it a try

I Don't see where this question has been answered:
I had to eat humble pie recently with a hardware problem, I was certain it was malware untill I found the cpu heatsink wasn't mounted correctly.. well it only failed on Spybot scans..thats my excuse
back to the subject:
waht makes you think its a virus and not a hardware problem..like cpu, memory, hdd, mobo or PSU..
Cheers
