I'm evil
You may not link to this site without prior written permission from ExxonMobil
ExxonMobil
Can they stop you from linking to their site? If you publish information on
a public network, can you prohibit people from reading it?

I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

the reason is they have limited bandwidth, and with you linking thier site, everyone is going to visit and chew it up... either giving them a huge bill, or temporarily preventing them from displaying their site.....
[edit] thats one of the reasons, but i dont see why huge corps. are saying no... unless its for legallity purposes. [/edit]

It doesnt look like they have a robots.txt on http://www.exxonmobil.com so the spiders can go there.

Actually, some one I know via internet has written up somthing on this...
http://members.limitless.org/~brianj/geowar.html
Some one from Geocities wanted somthing that one of the people put up (he gives space to some people he knows, I've never really asked about it) to be removed from the internet because they didn't agree with it's agressive position against them or somthing.
This website follows the same problem in suit with their TAC.
They can't stop you, because they have no right to stop you.
