As an IT auditor wht are responsibilities n task that u will perform ....... both on network side an software side (IS)....

"An IT Audit looks at the job you are doing, the current technology you are using, what you want to acheive and whether you are acheiving it.

An IT Audit will show you 1: whether the technology you are using (both hardware and software) is currently giving you the level of performance you expect, 2: what benefits would accrue from new or different technology, 3: What hardware and software is recommended to improve your productivity, and 4: what it would cost you to update your technology.

Sometimes your solution may be as simple as improving your staffs level of training, sometimes it may be as complex as a complete change of technology. My role is to make the solution as simple and painless as possible.

An IT Audit is an inexpensive way to see whether the technology you have is still sufficient for your needs or whether you need to make some changes."

So wht u mean is that one has to take look on the performance side as an AUDITOR.... Where the security part comes in ?
