Hey hey! I did it. Took me the best of 4 hours to do it including getting the wires and stuff for it. Works great and I did it using the_jinx's 'hotel watchamacallit' pic. I'll see if i can post a pic later on. Looks terribly crude with a wire going across the room from the switchboard to the bedside, but atleast she won't have to get up and walk across the room to switch off the light.

Ive put the pics... but don't take me up on neatness . This is the first time I did something of the sort. The bed didn't show up, but it's right below the switch in the first pic.
