in my country there are some kind of meat that can be eaten raw, and some can only be eaten raw!
i think cooking would make things healthier and more tasty and delicious to eat, and we are human, we want to enjoy and taste and live not only survive
and god gave us(human) the ability to cook unlike animals, and we pretty much used it in a good, even artistic way.
and as women used to cook, i think it was a way man created to keep those creatures busy :P for some time... but things aren't pretty much the same nowadays..are they ?

Other semi-serious reasons why we humans eat our food (mostly) cooked where the critters eat it raw:
1. They can't cook.

backing to the topic. Texan: you can survice eating just uncooked food. One of the most popular "courses" here at Brasil Army is "Amazon Surviving Training", where you (a a soldier, not for civilians) are dropped from a place in the middle of rain forest and need to survice 2 weeks just eating what nature give to you - no fire (its hard to start a fire there anyway), no cook. And not a lot of fruits too. You must hunt, eat uncooked meat - and drink blood too (i forgot why - its something related to minerals and salt but im not sure). Argh....
As someone else stated, each critter has its own defense system against "bad food", mankind included. Our current problem is that we just forget what is good and what kills you. Its so better get food on the market....

I stand corrected here but if i am not mistaken if you ran out of water like in the desert for instance, your own urine is one of the!!most important things to preserve. It is drinkable and I think it contains minerals and salts definitely..

Here's something y'all seem to have missed...
Think about it... when an animal hunts and kills something... it's fresh... is the meat you eat that fresh?
