Hey Tedob... I think the "PR Director" or whatever (s)he calls him/herself should be fired - not because he/she caused a controversy, but because the campaign absolutely sucks.

Plastic keychain thingies with "pictures" in them are retarded (only tourists should be allowed to buy them), and it's not very creative... it's like if I would be in the beer industry, I would have the Mona Lisa hold a beer... If I were in the cigarette industry, I would have her smoke... If I were in the... whatever, you get the idea.

It's a retarded campaign. Those who should be affected will make fun of that hairy arm being offered a condom by another hairy arm (that ain't friggin "Planned Parenthood"... that's the AIDS-prevention-committee for gays), and those who think it's going to affect anyone (the bitches whining about it) are too old to have sex (let alone unprotected sex with wild women who could be carrying diseases)...

It was a good topic to start a lively discussion! I feel better already!

your right. it is a serious matter, so maybe you should read up on it.......as to being short sighted, the fact that most of these families that are producing children at a rate that cannot be sustained to me is short sighted.

Where did you see that?? talk about short sighted.........I think I mentioned India and China......2 of this planets biggest population areas......but on the topic of Africa, isn't it there that they have a serious Aids epidemic right now, maybe a little education about the ol rubber sock may have saved a lot of these people's lives....as well as a lot of starving children......

You too lazy to get the facts, someone else "feeds" it to you. Yes while it may be true about Africa and AIDS, i wonder if you know the truth, and oh yes, how about Belgian Nurses Immunising Children in Africa by Injecting them with the HIV Virus? We poor Africans cant do anything for ourselves ..... 2 Countries have major problems, Ethiopia and Sudan. They are being assisted by USAF, UN and AU... I dont understand Your Point unless you dont know the facts ....

Again, You say Macho why? Clearly you dont even know about the fact that many Women in Africa, are leaders (40 % are of Parliamentarians). There is no Cultural Bias toward the Male or Female Child, as pointed out, in other Countries, Females are as revered as Male Children, no distinction is made. Tradition and Culture are very important in an Identity of People. So I do not think You can trivialise it.

Oh and by the way, I usually go by the moniker of dalek, not "dimwit" kay.....

Libya has suggested the nurses could be freed if the children received ample medical care and aid and their parents got compensation.

It's blackmail... This is a big example of why foreign aid should never be offered... they're greedy... they want more... I say if they can't take care of themselves... cut them off from the rest of the world and let them die off.... I'm normally not like this... I think we should help... (Actually help.. not Bush's idea of 'help') but Libya is being ridiculous.... Yet you quote this... and expect us to have any respect for you?? I find that humerous... very humerous..

Condoms, birth control....would prevent that condition.....

Now I am a 44 year old woman...I have 2 of my own children...and 2 step children....

and I DO NOT WANT TO GET PREGNANT!!!!!! I DONT WANT ANY MORE CHILDREN!!!!!

I am am SO gratefull that I live in a country where...I have a choice...

so I use birth control...the bad sinner that I am

.......and if I did get pregnant...I at least have the choice to terminate the pregnancy.....before 3 months...legally...safely............if I so choose to...

Abortion has been around for thousands of years....get over it!

..either by taking poison so the body would expel the baby.....or using an instrument to get it out....these were very unsafe procedures either damaging the fetus and producing a deformed child.... or killing the mother..or both mother and child.

Or lets take for instance.... the woman would have the child....out of wedlock...where the woman was stoned to death or alienated by the community.....and the child was exposed...left to the elements to die...is that not cruel...brutal....unjust...

There are still babies...all around the world being abandoned by mothers unable or unwilling to care for them ...left in filthy underfunded misrun institutions...this day and age..the 21st century.........they are being left to die........

is that better....kinder....Gods way????

Now I provide a very nice life for me and my children....but to have another child right now ........well...I just dont want to do it...and that is that...my choice!

And you are sitting there telling me that Africa does not have a population problem... I thought people everyday die of starvation ...and you are saying it is just isolated to 2 countries and doesnt affect the other ones....well I may be naive sometimes...but I am not stupid.

......sorry if dont have my facts straight......maybe you can enlighten me...seeing I am just to lazy to look it up......although it is flashed in my face...everytime I turn on the TV...but again that could just be our western propaganda.

I dont know what is better...watching your children die in your arms...or preventing it in the first place.
