Hey Hey,
Do you actually believe the BS you spout about the military, do you have any idea about Canada's Military at all...
It's you types living in lalala land that have seen to it that the Military has become a joke and is underfunded...
Yes I believe everything I say about the military.... I hope they cut even more of the military funding...
WTF? drugs are you on........I've seen your earlier posts about Canada's men/women in uniform, and quite frankly I am disgusted with your attitude towards them....apparently there are no members of your family who have or ever have served in the Armed Forces (place pacifist here), I can joke about it, you can't, unless you have been on that side of the fence, so try to keep your uneducated opinions about the Military out of it..
Welcome to the "Youth of the Nation"... Canada's Military is a joke... anyone can joke about that... I may hate the US military because they're butchers... but at least they have a real army... We should just give up... I have family members that served during WWII... that was a worthwhile fight... WWI and WWII were the only that were worthwhile... and they enlisted solely to fight that War... that's a noble cause.... It's these jokers and fools that join to earn an income and suck up tax payer dollars... I had a buddy... joined the reserves or whatever they are during high school... He went 1 night a week.. and got 100 bucks for it... Then in the summer he'd put in a weekend of "training"... free transportation to and from.. room and board and they'd give him damn near $1000.... that's my money.. money from my taxes... and I heard what went on at these sessions... it was money that could have been much better spent..
At least we agreed on one thing in there...
How come you have such a hate on for the men and women who serve in the Military, what did they ever do to you, to earn your "Disrespect".
Be being a joke... by sucking up excessive amounts of money.... You know what.. Pay military members minimum wage during peace time... See how many people sign up for the army then... Most of the members couldn't gradute high school and it was their only option... We had another guy in my high school.. he failed auto shop... couldn't do basic math and only passed because in gr 9 he was like 6'2, 225lbs and could play football... I don't think he ever graduated... but he got a job as a mechanic with the military... How can I respect that?? You put them down to minimum wage and I will definately have respect for the people that still work there...
You know what, I hope Harper does win now, and puts a soldier on every doorstep, maybe even institute mandatory enlistment for anyone between the ages of 18 and what's your age again? maybe a couple of years in the Army will straighten you out, teach you some discipline, maybe even help teach you to show some respect for others.
As I've said before... if I was forced to join the army.. one of two things would happen... I wouldn't go... or I'd go and kill all the people I was forced to bunk with for being there... Then suicide... Although most likely I just wouldn't go... as much as I'd like to kill them for being a drain on our system... I couldn't bring myself to murder... Then I'd be no better than they are..
Here spend some quality time and learn something....Canada's Military
I know more than enough about the military... Actually members of the military remind me of Native Americans... They want "their land".. it had to do with their ancestors.. with the men and women that came before them... but they think they should get respect and money based on the past (they should get a kick in the pants)... The military is the same way... They think they should get my respect because of what the men and women who came before them in WWI and WWII did... bullshit... I don't respect anyone that hasn't earned it... and the current members of our military have done nothing to earn anyways respect... They're a drain on our economy...
By this you mean, people like you get off of your arse and go to the aid of others, Lol, I didn't see your name in the who's who of who went to offer aid to the Katrina victims, I didn't see your name for those that went to the aid of the Tsunami victims, I didn't see your name when I went to Florida and helped out the Hurricane Andrew victims aboard HMCS Protecteur as part of our contribution.(there are more, but you get the picture)..
I gave money to every one of those causes... which is doing mor ethan a lot of people did.. As for going... I've said many times I think people should stay out of other countries business until their own business is taken care of... We have too many problems internally that we shouldn't be wasting resources on other nations.... they can fend for themselves.... If they ask.. send volunteers... but even that's a little much when those volunteers could be put to work locally to help people... We have homeless people here.. .why should we be sending people down to New Orleans to build homes.... pretty soon we'll be like the US thinking everything is our business and that we should always be in charge.
I get involved with as many local charities as I can... United Way, MS Walk, Shinerama (when I was in college.. since it's a college event) for CF... Those local charities are what matter...
Peace,
HT
[Edit]
When was the last time you bought a homeless guy dinner.. or stopped to give him money? If I was dying and needed a special medication... but you had a kid that was dying and needed the same medication... and you could only afford to buy it once.. who would you buy it for???? Your Kid.... many of you can call me close minded and a fool and anything else... but when the pressure is put on you.. you'll keep it as close to home as you can... We could spend that money locally... here at home.. so we should... When there's no need to spend the money at home.... then provide foreign aid.

Whoa-whoa-whoa!
Canadians arguing amongst themselves?!? No, no, no - we can't have that! Your the "good" country! Except for Quebec.
Although HTRegz I am curious - have you ever served in the military? It does not seem so, although you seem to have some strong opinions about the military and even stronger opinions about the US Military. Wait - are you from Quebec orginally?

Youth of the Nation.....hahahah, your all a bunch of self serving little prats, you couldn't hold a candle to those who have served or are serving.......I will agree that most of those dodgy weekend warriors are flogging it, as to the taxes, what you think the members in the Military don't pay taxes, you have got to be kidding right?
I don't think he ever graduated... but he got a job as a mechanic with the military... How can I respect that?? You put them down to minimum wage and I will definately have respect for the people that still work there...
The entrance requirements have changed since the early 70's and as I don't think your old enough to know the differences, it's probably been since the mid 80's that you had to have High School diploma to get in.....what has wages got to do about respect....

Anybody with a mindset like this should seek professional help.......

The very fact you can spout such drivel is down to the fact that these people who gave their very lives allows you this......

So that assuages your guilt does it? we are our brothers keeper, and if we can't help those less fortunate, wherever they may live, then why bother?

The Military in Canada, as a whole, probably do more for kids charities then all other organisations together, so don't pose a question like that until you have walked in the shoes of a member of the Military, who have sacrificed their time with their families so people like you can sleep at night.....

No, I've never served in the Military... I thought that was clear by now... And of course I have strong opinions about the military... I have strong opinions regarding those who waste tax payer money and even stronger opinions about murderers...
The problem is there are two views on the Military...
Older people + young people who either were stupid enough to join or had parents in the military so they had a military upbringing..
The rest of the young people...
One group thinks it's a good idea to arm the unintelligent and tell them to kill... while wasting money that could be used to fund health care, education and a number of other USEFUL things..
The other group seems the danger is giving guns to idiots and wants to see our health and education systems get an increase in funding so the money is beng well spent...
Those of you in the military or previously in the military.. I apologize.. unintelligent and idiot are harsh words that don't apply to every one... but there are three main groups that join the army.... Those who can't find work anywhere else... (why else would we have the term military grunt... if the unintelligent didn't join).... Those who's family were in the military... and those who want to milk the system by being highly overpaid...
As for your comment about me being from Quebec..... I'm proud to be Canadian so obviously I'm not....
Peace,
HT
