    not sure how sensative your info on that dvd is but you can try going to a public library and using thier computers. Then you can burn the info from the dvd onto a normal cd work on it at home, then retransfer back to dvd at the library again.

    Thanks man but its 3 in the morning (night) here i dont think any library would be open and public library here dont have any pc's anyway. Information is sensative hence i didnt even let my friend read it. I just wanted to see if the DVD is bad. The DVD came by mail (from different state) so there is no was I can ask for CD's to sent to me.

    Anyway I doesnt matter I think i'll give up. It wasnt much about the promotion or the bonus but now I cant buy a good gift for my love.

    Anyway thanks to everyone who helped.

    Do you have a bootable DVD? if yes will the system boot from that disk.. YES.. continue on the Driver file issue.. NO.. forget it.. replace the DVD drive..

    A comment earlier regrding dual layer support: That is ONLY to do with writting .. has nothing to do with read.. you will find all modern DVD readers ARE Dual layer..(you'll have **** of a time watching many dvd-movie disc's)

    Currently I'm planning to re-install windows ( it has helped me get DVD working in the past and I think it might help now too..) anyway I have kept autopatcher on download and also made a folder for recovery...

    I hope I can get everything done by 9 but i'm not sure it will work becasue I want to patch up first and then continue on my work.... I have SP2 on cd lets see if this work's... the other guy is still working which means it will atleast take 3 hours even if I give it my best that leave's1 and half hour for re-installation and patching... Here we go !!!!!!!

    But as for now I'm going out on my bike........ nothing better then a ride near the sea at 04:30.
