We use old comps running HyperTerminal for our energy management system. We got rid of our last Win95 a couple months ago. Mostly running 98 now, but we received a bunch of new Plll's and are putting 2000 on them. Ah, progress, but they all have worked great through the years.

I still have a couple of different 95 cd's at home. To be honest i nearly prefer Windows 98 over XP home. Still for any one who will miss windows 95 don't forget microsoft doesn't get rid of its old OS it just builds up around them. Dont believe me? open a command line interface in almost any version of windows and type > edlin "filename".

nihil : Just how many freaking PCs do you have? Do you live in a museum or something? You always talk about this older hardware...
Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

Phish~ old chap,
nihil : Just how many freaking PCs do you have? Do you live in a museum or something? You always talk about this older hardware...
Well I guess 50 or more..............it is some years since my wife threatened to divorce me if I brought another computer into the house...................so I immediately ordered all the bits and they were delivered by "the lads" after work................and I built one in front of her................
She retaliated by bringing 4 "orphan" pIII's from work the next day.............I refurbed them and got them homes in the IT lab of the High School across the road
My ambition is to get this collection a home in a college, so that students can go play with them and learn a bit about the "history" of PCs.......................
A nostalgic old fart
