What Hardware Does Everyone Have Now-A-Days
I can't remember most of my components but I'll do my best to remember:
Athlon XP 3200+ with a funky cooler
MSI K8N SLi Motherboard
2GB DDR RAM (1024 X 2)
6800GT with a funky cooler
Adaptec 29320R
2 Seagate Cheetah's 15,000RPM
4 Seagate Barracuda 160GB SATA's I think
2 Plextor 716SA's
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Linksys WMP54G PCI Lan
Floppy Drive
all packed into a Thermaltake Kandalf
On the outside I've got:
Logitech MX700 Keyboard and Mouse
Altec Lansing GT5051R Speakers
Dell UltraSharp™ 2007WFP Widescreen Monitor (which I love)
Just curious to see how I'm doing compared to you guys. If I'm far behind, its time for an upgrade.

Your system seems most up to date unless you are a full on gamer. That system takes mine to the cleaners and I play most days. Anyways I would wait another month when people are trying to get rid of X-mas supplies ...

AMD 2000+ (1733 mhz)
Heatsink of heaviness +1 cooling -3 stamina
Asus A7N8X NForce Mobo
512mb PC2700 Ram
2 x IBM 60gb drives (Not RAIDed)
CD-RW that can't write anything anymore
DVD rom
Nvidia 6600 GT (AGP)
Logitech MX500 Mouse
Old fuzzy Dell 1027 CRT monitor
Antec 430w TruePower PSU
Built it... what... four years ago for a $1000 budget, gradually went through THREE motherboard RMAs and two Power supply RMAs. (Thankfully, the no-boot-madness seems to have stopped.) (Yes, I'm sure the problems were with the Mobo or undervoltaged PSUs.)
8 year-old original MS Natural keyboard on "disassembled standby". (Read: Disassembled and cleaned 134 individual pieces after a bad soda spill, but then found a free keyboard somewhere else. I still wub the MS Natural with "normal" tetris-block arrow keys.)
Of course, a fat lot of good it does me when I only see it on weekends. (Non-important story.)

This is all hard wired through a Cat 5E 100BT network. It's funny when my siblings bring their kids to visit. "What you don't have TVs with cable in the bedrooms?"
Every room in my house has at least 1 Cat 5 plug. Don't have much use for TV.
