KB938371 keeps failing
Hi all
this update for Vista 64 keeps failing. I have tried installing from windows update to download ing a standalone installer.
Both install however revert back to changes on reboot.
Any got any ideas? I have googled it.
I like to patch my m$ systems fully.
Much appreciated.

Re: Update: KB938371 Failing Install Why don't you you just hide the update? Then you'll never have to see it
again.

Cider,
Have you checked the date? Maybe it has been encapsulated in a later update and Winders has gotten slightly confused?
Please get this:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Update and run it. Then look down the bottom for Winders hotfixes. You are interested in the ones with a little red x next to them.
Go into add/remove programs (check the box for Winders updates if there is one) and delete the ones with the red x. Then re-run Winders Update.
The other possibility is that you had a bum install so it hasn't logged it as a success, but cannot reinstall over the top of the borked first attempt?
When you are on the Winders update site, look down the left and click on the update history. That might have some information as well
Belarc is the best utility I know for this sort of problem. Keep it in mind my friend
