they don't, but this is Manhattan. You can buy anything here and have it brought to your door.

I know it is, MM, but geez, everything gets old after a while, no?

That's why we need to sell Walkers for Hackers at the AO store. To help those that are getting old..

Apparently not here. I mean - what else is there to discuss? AO is a security site that doesn't discuss security. An old hacking site that despises Hacking, yet cannot define the term inofitself.

I don't think anybody would stop you or anyone else from discussing security here. Like it or not, what Gore says is true. Users determine the content of a forum more than anyone else. We only try to observe some rules in the process.

Anyway Catch had retired (Thank GOD IMO) and was still negging the hell out of posts. For that he was banned? That's the rumor anyway.
I could be wrong on this one, but I'm pretty sure I banned catch because he requested to be banned - just for the record...

On second thought (actually, someone else had to point it out), I didn't ban catch, so ignore my above remark...

Hacking has had like 500 meanings and ways of saying it for a while now. I mean hell I've heard people actually say that if YOU call yourself a hacker, you aren't, and that someone else has to....

But if you ever talk with some of the REALLY oldschool hackers, even Woz, they refer to themselves as Hackers as a term fo respect for curiosity and so on.

I call myself a Hacker. I can't code Hello World in more than 3 languages, and for msot of them that is all I CAN do in it, but programming isn't the only "Hacker" thing to do. Hacking historically is someone who has that curiosity that goes beyond "I wonder what this does" and is more like "I HAVE to screw around with this box until I know it better".

The best term I've heard for Hacking was quoted from a well known one. He said "Hacking is the abuse of technology"... I love that quote. I also agree.

Anyone who really thinks it's a crime to say they are a hacker, is one anal ass. (Pun pun PUNNNNNNN).

Yes. AO has not only gone downhill, it's damn near dead.

Real security doesn't come with an installer.

Doppy that's not very nice lol. .....I just realized where you live.... Are you anywhere near Saint Augustine? In Florida? There is a light house there that has Red and White paint I want to visit. It's CREEPY and I've seen the footage caught there. I don't watch the faked shows, and I'm pretty sure what I saw was not edited to look scary and it was awesome.
