Oh you ****! Orange.... Nice.... Here I am watching the TV and seeing Beaches covered in Black, and Sand stuck to it like... Yea... And NOW someone tells me it's Orange... Son of a....

I don't think an OS has ever used Orange as a splash.... I know those old Nvidia Terminals were Red and Black, and most others are Black, and then Blue, and I've seen Red for Windows too.... But nothing Orange.

I guess if you go back to the 70s and 80s when you had Monochrome, you could probably get an Orange BG if you made one.... But the only Monochrome I saw was Black and White, or Black and Green.

    Here's a couple of pictures:

I remember back in the days of dumb monochrome terminals we had them in green on black and orange on black. That's how they came from the manufacturer.

I believe that the idea was that people who were slightly long sighted found the green less of a strain whilst people who were slightly short sighted found the orange easier.

The black muck you see on the beaches is after the oil has been weathered and degraded.

Oh! it's very like the signs you see outside public toilets in the UK

I have two Windows BSODs.................one is static and fairly simple..........but the other one is dynamic and runs a fake Dr. Watson and system dump ..............I like that one!

you know, after reading the most recent thread that is about 'what has happened to AO' or something, the one I killed >.< The way to make a thread popular on this forum is to have either MLF start it or have christina(I think her name was) post in it. Anywho, it seems like AO needs more womenz! <@):P

Nah, it's easier than that; Take ideas that have been at least proven to be true over the years, make a joke about it, and just sit and watch your inbox fill. Or, if you don't have that kind of time and want to bring up an OS VS OS thing, lol, ask the people saying their idea is perfect, and that YOU are the jerk even though they're acting the SAME way from the other side of the table, and point out flaws in their little sayings, and ask if they think it's so great, would they let it run a machine that might kill them, and then repeat 3 or 4 times since no one in their right mind would.

Spec brought up one point I hadn't actually thought of where it is true, we do do this all the time, but, the circumstances are very different, and something like that, or, better yet, X-Ray machines, which Doctor's figured out early on that they could override things with the Computer, and of course poison someone with radiation while doing so, and, if they'd trust radiation poison to it.

In a much smaller breath; You can make activity by pushing buttons. People love drama, and arguments. It's in our nature. I've been good at that for along time. Ask Nihil, he's been here since around the time I have, maybe a little more or less, and I've been making fun of stuff and pushing certain buttons for...8 years wow...

The key is to of course, make sure there is at least SOME redeeming quality. If what you're saying is crap, or untrue, or you're just being an ass, then people may get more than upset, or testy, but as long as you keep certain guidelines of respect in your head, you'll basically be fine.

I don't want a child. I don't want to financially support another human being. And im fully capable of cleaning up my home.

They're the cause of all conflicts in the world and have nothing to contribute aside from overpopulation.
