Uber is 'over' (as in 'above') in German, I believe. Originated from Nietzche's "Ubermensch" or "Overman", which described Nietzche's ideals of humanity.
Indeed Terr . First introduced by Nietzsche in his 'Also sprach Zarathustra' - also famous for its 'God is dead'-statement (YES, Nietzsche was first, not Marilyn Manson!). Nietzsche actually called it 'Uebermensch'.
