Okay, I don't disagree about the child-pornography sites, given that I can't think of any countries off the top of my head that legalize that... It's still better to report it to the authorities, vigilantism is NOT a good way to conduct a serious long-term personal attack on illegal sites. But it is a way for people who have too much time on their hands to feel justified in a little bit of their own crime...
Hacking porn sites? Well, it *is* a legitimate business. And some people DO make their living from it... As for PAYING these guys... why PAY them? No way. Remember the saying about prevention and cure? An ounce of prevention is what is called for, which is called GOOD PARENTING. (And, if what irks you is something else, then you should call it POP-UP-WINDOW FILTERING. )

and sites supporting Bin Laden. Apart from that, the rest is really freedom of speech.
Now, back to the Bin Laden thing... I'm sure that hearing their real and/or percieved greviances against the US is important. Not to say the USA is the bad guy, but our foreign policy has definitely had some impact on this. "What role did we play in this?" is a question not often asked, but a very important one. Instead it has become a "Attack them... Hmm... My approval ratings go up! Lets have a war!" Sites advocating actual violence with instructions to blow things up... that would probably be less objectionable to being defaced... But if it is a: "We believe in Bin Laden because..." site, then I think it has just as much right to be up. Why stifle their message and flood them with our own, when we can safely say that neither is the whole truth? (If someone thinks that either side DOES have the whole truth... thinking for themselves must not be a strong point for them.)
