IRC Rules!
I dont think ive seen a post dedicated to this on the boards so im gonna make one... I also suggest to you JP that you add a !Rules ommand to AntiChat wich will then PrivMSG the user with a list of these(and other) rules.
IRC Rules
1. Please Do Not Ask Hacking Questions(How To Hack Hotmail/AIM/Yahoo/Sub7/etc.)
2. Please Do Not flood the channel(ei. Dont ask a question a bunch of times if someone doesnt answer it)
3. Try to keep a posative mannor and attitude, If a newbie comes in and asks a stupid question explain to him that hes asking a stupid question and try to direct him differently.
4. Please use an English Font.
5. Do Not Clone.
6. Do Not Advertise/SPAM.
7. No Bots allowed in the main Channel, You want to test a bot create your own channel.
8. Do Not Harrass The Bot(AntiChat)
If Any Of These Rules Are Broken a Channel OP or and IRC OP will Kick/Ban/Kline you.
What To Do If New To AO IRC
Use either the java IRC Client at irc.antionline.com, or use your own client:
Reccomended Windows Cleint: mIRC found at mirc.com
Reccomended Linux Cleint: X-Chat found at xchat.org
Reccomended Command Line Cleint(Win/*nix): BitchX found at Bitchx.org
With one of these client connect to irc.antionline.com port 6667
If you would like to change your NickName type in "/Nick <nickname>" replacing "<nickname>" with the nickname you would like.
Sign up witht he Bot (AntiChat) do this by typing "!Signup" in the #AntiOnline Channel.
Follow the dirrections AntiChat Gives you
You are now ready to chat, to check your status type in !stat or !mystats . To check other stats type in !Top10 (Words|Minutes|Smileys|Kicks|Bans) or !Top20 of the same.
Follow these dirrections and you should be fine in the IRC
