Where I work, we run a win2000pro shop in our labs with deepfreezeNTFS. Additionally, we used to use roaming profiles to allow settings to follow users around, but we had to cut it due to high corruption rate. Our reasoning for "locking down" our computers is to provide a uniform experience to all users which is simply impossible in an open environment. Once society grows up and leaves behind the need to do childish acts, then perhaps we can move to a more open environment.
||Does anyone have suggestions on how to keep users settings w/o the use of roaming profiles? ||
