I agree with magnoon the guards who were involved should have been punished That is where the major responsiblity lay. I visited a friend in a women's prison. I had to fill out a form first asking for my name, address age, etc. I also had to state whether I had a criminal record and what my relationship to the inmate was at that point I mailed it in.. When I went there I had to wait one hour then proceed though a metal detector. Once in the room we sat at a long table with other inmates and visitors and all had to keep their hands up on the table. Two guards oversaw the room. When the visit was over she had to submit to a search. This was done obviously for the passing of drugs or other contraband by a visitor. It can be a dangerous situation if handled incorrectly. Perhaps if you hug or kiss someone you can sneak things in too. That mobster should have used his head when he was committing his crimes and thought about what the future could and would bring. I feel no pity for him.I am sure he caused a lot of people much pain and sorrow while he was pursueing his illegal activities. I am sorry as far as I am concerned he gave up his rights to a lot of happiness when he pursued that way of life. His own choices led him to where he ended up. Auntie
