ok my computer just crashed, and now it won't even start under safe mode, i'm using my dad's computer right now, i own a windows XP pro. and every time i try to start it up, i get that damn blue screen and it says

unmountable_boot_volume

anybody got an idea of what might have happened?
as always help would be greatly appreciated.
