I was wondering if someone has tried this and if perhaps they could give me some more information on how to, what I need, and what some restrictions would be.

I am wanting to experiment and see how signals work with transfering my wireless network (encrypted, MAC filtered) across a distance of a mile plus. I was wondering what an inexpensive solution would be and I wanted to know if I would need Point of Sight ability for this to work or if I just pointed it in the general direction if it would work or what I would need to do.

Any help anyone can contribute would be greatly appreciated.
