Use both.....you'll find it much easier to switch between (or even get a proggie like VMWare to run one OS within the other) to suit your needs. I use both for very different tasks and I've never had a problem with either the install, partitioning, or dual booting. Might as well give it a shot and if you don't dig one or the other, dump it.
