Did I specificly say install through linux? NO! As I was mentioning: If some guy downloads something that appears as "a cool game" he is more then likely to switch to windows to play around with it but he/she ends up seting up a attack on the system.... and as long as its in the windows enviroment it'll keep going.
Oh and.. actually I was refering to dDoS utlilities that could be planted into a sys. and how they could still do dDoS attacks on other platforms which BTW the dDoS tools can sometimes be detected with !!!"AV"!!! But yeah... if your on the other side of the attack beleave it or not being noisy over the phone while calling the ISP or look very threatening in the offices of your ISP might force them to do something after all... "a firewall is NOT the solve all of security, they are possible to be bypassed (see firewalking)"
