Well, i suppose that it can't go into "smack my bitch up" mode. (and here I thought that was a good thing). Anyway, that cracker/virus remark was actually a rather interesting analogy. I suppose a computer virus to an AI would be considered a sickness. perhaps a sort of "immune system" would be needed to protect against such a thing, not just a virus scanner, but more of a coordinated proccess of small programs to patrol and defend against malicious intruders. an AI would be very vulnerable to such an attack too, seeing as its entire function is the assimilate new programming.
