Well for you problem then..
Bookmark www.virtualdr.com for your hardware probs windoze problems
and now that you have found your device manager..
Right click the cd rom in device manager and select Remove.. ok and ok out
restart the computer..
once restarted.. go back into device manager and check the status of the cd rom..
you could have a faulty drive, bad cable.. or there is more information you need to tell us..
