I had the same problem with my win98se with the same router as you. I was using it with hardwire although it has wireless. The connection lasts like 1-2hours like you said then all of a sudden I couldn't surf the net anymore. It seems to have gone away for now. When it was happening I would have to restart the computer to get my connection back. You can try doing an ipconfig /renew or something like that. The only fix that I know of was rebooting. I don't know how I got rid of the problem though. Maybe try using a static IP instead, which I did and it still had problems. I say for now just hang in there and hopefully the same thing will happen for you as happened for me, which is the problem just going away for no apparent reason. I don't really know of a fix though.
