Well, it seems you all were right, but he still can't get into the config. He is connected directly to the net, his router is just acting as like a passive hub. It lets everything through, and nothing is considered networked as he can't play xbox online using gamespy and sygate is getting about 10x more incoming than ever. So he is going to buy a new router soon just for the networking. I guess that's what happens when you spend $30 on a used router that lasts you 6 months, actually an almost good deal if you ask me. He knew it wouldn't last long, but oh well.
